BEWARE THE WENDIGO By: SASHA SLAUGHTER

Well hi there weirdos! Thanks for stopping by today and checking us out! If you read Zane's post on Monday, then you'd know that this month we'll be sprinkling in some Christmas themed horror movies as opposed to just throwing them at you all at once. Let's be honest, I don't think you could handle all of the awesomeness at once =)

So today I thought I'd do my "series girl" thing and tell you a little about Fear Itself episode 8- Skin and Bones. In case you haven't been reading (you damn well better be) or you are a new reader, Fear Itself debuted on NBC in the summer of 2008. It's a horror anthology series created by Mick Garris. Only the first eight episodes were aired on television and the other five went straight to DVD, although they had already been produced. So let me tell you a little more about Skin and Bones.

Grady, a rural ranch owner, goes out on a hunting trip with friends in the cold lonely mountains. His brother Rowdy has been tending to the ranch in his absence. When ten days have passed with no word from Grady or the men he ventured into the mountains with, Rowdy and Grady's wife Elena begin to worry. Rowdy is preparing to ride back out into the woods when he looks out the window and sees Grady staggering toward the house. 

He and Eddie Bear, a Native American who lives with the family and cares for the ranch, rush out to help Grady. When they get him inside they realize he is injured and suffering from severe frostbite. Later that night after they get him settled into bed, the family realizes that he doesn't like the same as he did when he first arrived. His face is sunken in and he looks very sick and malnourished.

Later that night after everyone is asleep, Rowdy and Eddie Bear hear strange noises coming from the horse stables. They rush out to find one of their horses, lying on the ground slaughtered. Eddie Bear glances up and sees Grady in the window staring down and grinning wickedly. The next day Eddie Bear talks to Grady, because he believes he knows what is ailing him. He tells Grady the tale of the day his uncle disappeared into the mountains for two weeks. 

He tells him that his uncle appeared out of nowhere, looking very much the way Grady does now. Grady takes offense to the story and Eddie Bear leaves. Eddie meets up with Rowdy and tells him the same story as the one told to Grady. He tells Rowdy that he believes Grady has been possessed by a Wendigo (A mythical creature appearing in mythology of the Algonquian people. It is a malevolent and cannibalistic spirit that can possess any human.)

Later that night Elena goes to check on Grady when he wakes up and speaks to her as the real Grady may have and explains what happened to him in the mountains. He tells her there was something whispering in his ear and in his head saying to him "I can save you...let me in". He says the voice instructed him to eat and he admits to eating the last hunter that stayed with him. Elena, visibly shaken, tries to exit the room slowly, but Grady moves behind her and appears to try to eat her. Rowdy intervenes and pulls a shotgun on Grady and tells him to let her go. 

Eddie Bear walks up the stairs to try and find Grady, but is then quickly killed. Rowdy comes up the stairs to find Eddie Bear dying, and before he dies Eddie Bear tells him that Grady will eat all of them. He finds Grady lying in bed, pretending to be too sick to move. Grady guilt trips him into lowering his weapon, which gives him enough time to kill Rowdy. Elena hears the shot from the barn and attempts to take her children and leave. Grady stops her and drags her into the kitchen. He puts Rowdy's body onto the table and...

Well ok then! I suggest that you check out Fear Itself: Skin and Bones either on DVD or on Netflix. I think this one was of my favorite episodes! Skin and Bones and The Eater are tied for first place. They were both equally gory and creepy. The plot was great, being based on a Native American legend of the Wendigo. 

I've never heard of it, but it is actually a real thing. The guy that was possessed by the Wendigo was soo sickly and strange looking!! Each time he ate someone and got more powerful, his facial features changed more drastically. I thought the acting was superb. I wish that the episode was longer though. It felt like it could have been, and the ending kind of leaves you hanging, wondering whats going to happen next.

Overall I'd give Skin and Bones a 4 out of 5. Like I said, the acting was great, the plot was great...everything about it was great! There was a good deal of gore and blood. And of course, this wouldn't be an episode about a cannibalistic demon without some good 'ol cannibalism right? I won't spoil it for you, you just have to see for yourself. 

I would recommend this episode to you freaks out there that enjoy a good scare, or being creeped out. This is by far one of the best episodes from Fear Itself that I've seen. And I'd probably watch it again...and again..and...you get the idea. So that's all I have to say about that! While you're here, don't forget to stop over and see what Zane's got going on. READY FOR A HOWLIN GOOD TIME?? By: SASHA SLAUGHTER

Hey horror fans!! Sasha Slaughter here with you for the final week of September...can you believe September is almost over?? But the good news is that October is quickly approaching, and we all know what October means..HALLOWEEN!! It's me and Zane's favorite, and we are sure to be bringing you some screams!!! But more on that later. Now it's time to get to the task at hand. Today for your reading pleasure I'll be reviewing, “Fear Itself Episode 9: Something with Bite.”  It was written by Max Landis and directed by Ernest Dickerson.

Now this should be episode 7 but it's actually episode 9, so bear with me. And I don't know why, but for some reason they aren't numbered right on Netflix. And here's a little info for you, NBC stopped airing Fear Itself after the eighth episode. There were 13 episodes in season 1, but only eight of them aired on television. Episodes 9-13 were produced but never aired in the United States. But you can find all 13 episodes on dvd and Netflix, so check that out! Now let's get to it!

 “Something With Bite,” is a story of veterinarian Wilbur Orwell, who works in an animal clinic with his employee Mikayla and Geoff. Dr. Orwell is a lazy slob that does half ass work and eats a lot (num nums!!!). When an unknown animal gets brought into his clinic, Dr. Orwell examines it and a man tells him that he hit it and decided to bring it to his clinic.

When trying to tend to the animal, he finds a collar with the name Michael on it. Suddenly, Dr. Orwell gets bitten by it and then the animal quickly dies. After he's bitten, Dr. Orwell feels ill but the following morning upon waking, he feels like a whole new person. He finds that he no longer has a taste for junk food and also has incredibly heightened senses.

 He goes to work on examining the body of the beast and finds that it has pierced ears and a filling in it's mouth. He finds Mikayla at the reception desk talking to a distraught couple. They introduce themselves as Crane and Moonflower Dougdale (Sounds like hippies to me). The Dougdale's tell Dr. Orwell that they are looking for their son, which they quickly correct and say they are looking for their animal. They say he went missing and fear he's been hit by a car. Orwell takes them to an exam room and shows them Michael's body. They plead with Orwell to please let them have the body so they can do a proper burial and Dr. Orwell reluctantly agrees.

After the couple leaves, Dr. Orwell calls lazy employee Geoff, who rarely shows up for his job. Geoff tells him that things have come up but promises he will be in the following day. Later that night, Orwell's arm starts to itch and he removes the bandage to discover that the bite has healed. He starts twitching and screaming and turns into a werewolf.

 He runs from his house and finds Geoff walking alone on the street. He jumps out in front of Geoff and kills him. He wakes up the next day and finds muddy paw prints leading from the window to the bed. He goes to work and is later questioned by an FBI agent about the death of his employee Geoff. The agent shows Orwell crime scene photos of Geoff's various body parts scattered around the crime scene. Orwell gets nervous and realizes that he may have been the cause of Geoff's death.

Orwell goes to visit the Dougdale's to talk to them about what happened. He tells Moonflower he's there to pay his condolences to Michael. He then looks at her and smiles and his eyes turn yellow. She smiles back at him and her eyes turn bright green. They are sitting down talking when Crane asks Wilbur if he's been able to control the change. Wilbur tells him he thinks he's able to now but then asks if it's possible to kill people in his wolf form. Crane tells him that he wouldn't do anything as a wolf that he wouldn't do as a man. Comforted by this, he then asks if they are the ones responsible for the recent string of animal attack deaths. They deny being involved and tell him that they are vegans. Crane then tells him that there are others out there like them who are less well behaved.

 Back at the clinic, Mikayla is getting ready to leave for the night when she is attacked by a wolf but survives. Orwell goes to visit her and the FBI agent shows up. He tells Orwell that she's lucky she’s still alive and that there was a patrol car right up the road from where she was attacked. Orwell starts acting strange and sniffing at Mikayla and quickly leaves the room.

He follows the scent to an abandoned warehouse where he transforms into a werewolf and meets a man named Forest J. Caldwell. Caldwell keeps telling Orwell that he is beautiful and that he has been waiting all his life to be changed. He keeps telling Orwell to bite him but Orwell never moves. Caldwell admits that he's the one who has been killing people in hopes of attracting attention from a werewolf. He shows Orwell the outfit he made of fur and razor sharp claws. Orwell still doesn't respond and when Caldwell mentions Mikayla and the fact that he didn't have a chance to kill her and that he was thinking of going to the hospital to do it, Orwell rips him apart and....

 Ohh nooo!!! And then what?? If you really want to know, go to Netflix and watch “Fear Itself: Something with Bite.”  This episode was ok I guess. Orwell got on my ever loving nerves. I can't quite put my finger on it, but he bothered me. The acting was a smidge over the top, especially the acting of Wilbur's wife Patty...that woman was horrible. Ughh!!!

There wasn't a whole lot of blood, but there was a few severed body parts, which is always a plus! And the werewolf thing was a little creepy, but it looked too fake. The hippies were kind of strange. And the guy hippie...eww his eyebrows got on my nerves. I wanted to take some hot wax to those bad boys!!!

Overall I'd give “Something to Bite” a 2 out of 5. I was kind of bored throughout the whole thing and wasn't very intrigued by what was happening. And the ending was totally LAME!!! It definitely could have been better. I doubt I'd ever watch this episode again. Once was enough, for sure!! And since you're here, how about you go see what Zane's got going on?? Whatever it is, I'm sure it'll blow your minds. Trust us. We're professionals.

SO MUCH FOR BEING A FAMILY MAN By: SASHA SLAUGHTER

Well hello there!!! How nice of you to stop by! Sasha Slaughter here with you for the final time this week to bring you one last dose of randomness. Today I'll be reviewing, “ Fear Itself: Episode 6: “Family Man.” It was written by Daniel Knauf and directed by Ronny Yu. It runs just about 42 minutes and the series aired on NBC in 2008. So let's get to it shall we?

Dennis Mahoney and his family are the typical "perfect family". Perfect house, perfect wife, perfect kids. He’s a responsible loving father and everything’s perfect (Until life decided to bend him over and give it to him right in the butt that is. Oops, was that too gross?) He has a loving wife and children and they attend church together every Sunday. But everything changes one afternoon when Dennis is on his way to work. His wife calls him and asks him to bring milk home. Just as he says he will, another car races through an intersection and slams into Dennis's car.

 In the hospital room, Dennis, dressed in a hospital gown sees his family in the waiting room. He taps on the glass to get their attention but no one acknowledges him. Another man comes up beside him and says,  "She can't hear ya bro". He turns to see a man in a flannel shirt whom he recognizes as Richard Brautigan. He tells Dennis that she can't see them because they’re both dead.

Later on, Dennis wakes up chained to a hospital bed. He asks the nurse for his family and a sheriff is standing above him says "Family? You don't have family unless you count the ones you slaughtered". Dennis turns to look at himself in the mirror and realizes that he is in Brautigan's body.

 He’s later released and returned back to prison. While talking with his court appointed attorney, explains his situation. But all his attorney can say is that spiritual transmigration is a really crappy defense. He then shows him a photo of himself (as Brautigan) in a newspaper labeling him as the "Family Man", a prolific serial killer.

 Dennis comes face to face with Bruatigan, who is now  in Dennis's body.  Brautigan informs Dennis that he has taken over his life and lives at home with Dennis's family. Brautigan then suggests that they help each other. He offers to help Dennis get used to life on the inside, if Dennis will help him with life on the outside. Dennis refuses and Brautigan leaves.

 During his next visit with his attorney, Dennis learns that the police have found tapes of Brautigan raping, torturing, and murdering his victims. The attorney tells Dennis if he wants to avoid the death penalty he needs to tell where the bodies are buried. When his attorney begins to leave, Dennis tells him again to check out his story, and he says if the details don't check out, he will cooperate with the police. The attorney tells him he already checked and all of the details are right but he knows that Brautigan (in Dennis's body) has been visiting and could be feeding him details.

 Pressure begins to mount for Dennis as he faces a death sentence and Brautigan begins to lose his temper with Dennis's family. Dennis has a dream in which he sees that it's only a matter of time until Brautigan hurts his family. He wakes up and tells the guard that he will show them where the bodies are located. They put Dennis in a police car and he tells them to stop in front of the church. An officer gets out and opens Dennis's door. Dennis gets out and take the officers gun and hits him in the head and then hits the sheriff.

He unlocks his cuffs and runs towards his house by the church. The sheriff shoots him in the side but Dennis keeps running. He goes into his house to find Brautigan doing dishes. Dennis asks where his family is and Brautigan tells him they aren't home. Just then Dennis sees him starting to wash a knife with blood on it. A fight ensues between the two men and Dennis throws Brautigan into a glass table and chokes him until he loses consciousness. Dennis senses someone behind him and turns around and is immediately...

 OH NO!!! What will happen next??? Well, I'm not gonna tell you! Those days are through buddy! If you wanna know, hop on over to Netflix and watch Fear Itself: Family Man. This episode was ok. Not as sucky as some, but not as good as others. There was a good amount of blood, especially in the operating room. It was just pooling under Brautigans hospital bed. And the way they froze time in the hospital when Brautigan was showing Dennis their bodies was pretty cool too.

You could see the pool of blood where it was splattering on floor..ughh I can't explain. You just have to see it! Overall I'd give Family Man a 3 out of 5. No, there was no nudity and no cussing (In fact someone said turd instead of shit...haha), but it's all good! It was still a decent episode. The plot was great and the acting was too.

I mean, spiritual transmigration? Who woulda thought?? And the one scene with the little girl in the bumble bee suit wiping blood all over her arms and then with blood coming out of her mouth was a little on the creepy side. Although if I hear the song "Amazing Grace" one more time, I'll scream. I swear I heard it like 3 or 4 times. 

 Yeesh!! It's gonna be stuck in my head all day!!! But I would highly recommend this episode to you. And if you haven't watched Fear Itself yet, I suggest you start. Now that you know how I feel, you can go ahead and check out what Zombie Zane has got going on. Whatever it is, I'm sure he'll let you look at it!! THE PERSON YOU ARE MARRYING IS A SERIAL KILLER By: SASHA SLAUGHTER

Hello there faithful blog readers!! Sasha Slaughter here to bring you another dose of absolute randomness. Today I'll be reviewing Fear Itself Episode 5: In Sickness and in Health. It was written by Victor Salva and directed by John Landis and runs about 42 minutes. And if you've been paying attention you'd know that the series was created by Mick Garris and aired on NBC. Well know you know that, so let's get to it then shall we??

A bride to be learns from a mysterious note before her wedding ceremony that her soon to be husband is possibly a serial killer. Samantha and her bridesmaids Ruthie and Kelly are in the dressing room getting ready for the wedding. Samantha keeps asking them what everyone has been saying about her marrying Carlos so soon. They finally tell her that people have been saying that it's too early and that they're rushing into this. 

                                                                
Ruthie hands Samantha a note and tells her it was given to the Priest by a woman wearing a red scarf. Ruthie tells her that the Priest said it is to be given to Samantha right away. On her way to the bathroom Samantha reads it and the note simply reads "The person you are marrying is a serial killer". (Cue dramatic music) She goes into Carlo's dressing room to talk to him and to make sure that he wants to get married. He assures Samantha that he is ready. She doesn't say anything about the note and goes back to her dressing room.

She finds Ruthie and demands that she shows her the woman that gave the note to the Priest. They look for her in the church but can't find her so they go outside. As soon as they step outside they see the woman in the red scarf stepping into a cab. Ruthie keeps asking Samantha what the note said but she refuses to talk about it. She finishes getting ready and goes through with the wedding.

                                                                  
During the ceremony, Ruthie and Kelly keep giving Carlos strange looks. After the wedding was over, Samantha goes back into the dressing room to get ready for the reception. Ruthie and Kelly are asking her about the note but Samantha starts freaking out and kicks them out of the dressing room and tells them to forget about the note. A few moments later she hears someone pounding on her dressing room door. She opens the door but no one is there. 

She hears something fall and break down the hall but she can't see anyone. Just then the woman with the red scarf runs and hides behind a door. Samantha runs into the priest and asks him about the person who gave him the note. He tells her he doesn't remember who it is and offers to escort her to the reception.

                                                                 
She declines and says she has to make a phone call. She tries to call someone but the call won't go through. Carlos is hiding in the alley watching Samantha and follows her in the woods to the reception. She asks Carlo's uncle about Carlo's parents and he tells her that they disappeared when Carlos was 16 but Carlos won't talk about it with anyone. 

Just then Carlos appears and gets defensive about Samantha talking to his uncle. He tells his uncle he better not be telling tales and then takes Samantha away. He questions her about why her bridesmaids keep giving him the dirty looks and he tells her to start acting like she's happy about being his wife. 

                                                                
Samantha leaves the reception and goes into the church to call her brother, who didn't come to the wedding. She leaves a message telling him that she thinks she made a mistake by marrying Carlos so quickly and that something happened that scared her. Ruthie and Kelly find her in the church while she is in the middle of leaving the message. After Samantha finishes, Ruthie tells her she is going to tell Carlos what she thinks of him and storms out of the church.

Samantha follows Ruthie and finds her at the reception yelling at Carlos. Ruthie is in the middle of telling him that Samantha got a note but Samantha won't tell her what it says. Samantha tells Ruthie to stop and go to the reception. Carlos accuses Ruthie and Kelly of being jealous bitches and leaves. Meanwhile, Carlo's uncles keep looking at each other and smiling. Sam follows Carlos to the church. She asks him if he's ok and Carlos tells her that Ruthie told him about a note that Samantha got. She denies ever getting it and then asks if there is anything he wants to tell her. He starts laughing and tells her not to be afraid. Samantha grabs a candlestick and Carlos disappears.

                                                           
 She hears noises coming from inside the church and hides in a confessional. Carlos tells her to come out and when she won't he puts a chair in front of the door so she can't get out. He goes into the confessional next to her and says that the girl meant nothing to him. She asks what he means and he tells her that a he met a girl while Samantha was away and they had dinner. 

He tells her that the girl wanted more than he was willing to give so she started calling him at work and stalking him. He apologized for having dinner with her and he said it was probably her who gave Samantha the note in hopes that the wedding wouldn't happen. Samantha tells him that Ruthie knew nothing about the note. He asks what she means and she tells him that she was given the note by mistake and that Carlos was supposed to be given the note, not her.

                                                                                                                                                                                                         
Dun dun dun!! What does it all mean??? Go take watch Fear Itself : In sickness and in Health and find out!! 

Now, I have some stuff to say!!! Ehh...This episode was kind of boring. It didn't even get remotely interesting until the last like 10 minutes. I mean yeah, the ending was a total freaking twist and I never saw it coming, but the stuff leading up to it was a total snooze fest...ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. 

                                                              
 And there was no cussing or nudity because I realized it was on NBC and of course there will be  no nekkidness or profanity...DUH!!! I kept bitching about the lack of boobs and swear words and then realized ohh hey, they can't put that on NBC. Anyway, I digress. 

 

                                                                
Overall I'd give In Sickness and in Health a 2 out of 5. I was gonna give it a 1.5 but because the ending was a total shock, I decided to give it a bump in the score. I would recommend it, but only for the total twist at the end.

There was a dead cat on a table, some heads in jars, and a bloody dead body in plastic wrap on a chair. Ohh and a guy wearing a wig, red lipstick and heels. I bet that got your attention. Anybody Got An Extra Goat? BY: SASHA SLAUGHTER

Ok, I'll come right out and say it...I lied. Last week was not actually the final week of random stuff month. My bad!!! I don't know wtf I was thinking...or if I was thinking at all for that matter. But now that we got that straightened out, let's get down to business. I'll be reviewing Fear Itself episode 4: The Sacrifice....dun dun dun!! Here we go!!!

On the run from the authorities for stealing guns, four criminals find themselves holed up in an old, decrepit fort inhabited by 3 alluring women who all share a deadly secret. Point, Lemon, Diego, and Navarro are driving down a dirt road when the bottom of their vehicle gets completely ripped out. With Navarro badly hurt, they must find somewhere for him to rest. They see an old fort a few miles up the road. They arrive at the seemingly empty fort and look around for anyone that's living there. They put Navarro on a couch for him to rest and check to see if anyone is there. They go into a bedroom with drawings all over the walls and while looking at the drawings they hear Navarro scream.                                                             

They rush into the living room to find a woman hovering over him. She tells them her name is Chelsea and then her sister Virginia walks into the room. They tell the men that they don't believe in modern things so they have no cars and no phone. They offer for the men to stay the night while they look after Navarro. Diego goes with Virginia to the barn to get blankets when she starts to seduce him, making him think she wants to sleep with him. She motions towards a pillow and blanket on the floor. Diego lays down and then falls into a trap underground. Virginia shuts the door on the trap and leaves. Chelsea is tending to Navarro when she tells Lemon and Point to go eat while she helps their injured friend. They meet the third sister, Tara, who doesn't speak, in the kitchen getting their food ready. Chelsea cleans the wound in Navarro's chest and then sews his mouth shut.     
 

Point offers to take food to Navarro but Chelsea is adamant that he is asleep. Point goes anyway and finds Navarro with a wooden stake in his heart and his mouth sewn shut. He hears noises coming from the room he's in. He tries to save a man that's chained to a bed but something grabs the chain and the man disappears. Lemon goes out in search of Diego when he follows Virginia into the shed. She starts to seduce him (Prick tease!!) and then hits him in the head with the handle of an axe. When he wakes up Lemon is hanging upside down with his blood dripping into a pan. Point starts to look for Lemon when he stumbles across hundreds of license plates hanging from strings in the yard and realizes that one of the plates was from the car they were driving.


While Diego is screaming for help something opens the lid of the trap he's in (And that thing had the nastiest toe nails ever...gross!) and jumped in and killed him. Just then Tara comes into the room that Lemon is in and she shows him a drawing that she did of him. He tries to get Tara to let him down but when she hears growling she runs from the room. Point hears Lemon screaming and runs into the shed to find a creature (Really creepy creature) eating him. It jumps down to attack Point when he shoots it, but it disappears. He takes Lemon down from the ceiling and then Tara comes in with an axe and tries to cut of Lemon's head. Point pushes her into a hook in the wall, it goes through her stomach and she dies.

Point takes Lemon to the living room and finds Chelsea and Virginia standing here. He starts putting ammo in guns and asking for some answers. Chelsea tells him that he has to kill Lemon because he was bitten by the creature, and if he doesn't, Lemon will become a vampire. She tells him the only way to kill him is by fire, a stake through the heart, or by chopping off his head. He refuses to kill his brother and doesn't believe anything until Chelsea explains what is happening. She tells him that when they came from Romania the creature came with them so they built a fort to keep it contained so it wouldn't kill anyone else. As long as they supply it with human flesh it won't hurt them.

Lemon dies in Points arms and Chelsea tells him he has to cut off his head. Point tells her no and then Lemon comes back to life and tries to attack him. Point fights him off so Lemon attacks Virginia and bites her before trying to attack Point again. Point grabs a fireplace poker and stabs him in the heart with it, Lemons collapses and dies. They hear the creature breaking into the house because it smells blood and Virginia tells Chelsea she knows what she has to do because she was bitten. They hurry out of the house and into the barn. Chelsea puts Virginia into the trap so the creature can eat her because she's been infected. They say their goodbyes and hear the creature coming so they hide in another room. The creature is standing in front of the trap when Point runs out of the room and pushes it into the trap. Chelsea closes the door and while the creature is busy eating Chelsea they decide to burn it. They puncture the door of the trap with an axe and pour gasoline into the puncture holes and.....

And then what?? IDK! How about you mosey on over to Netflix, look up Fear Itself and give The Sacrifice a look see huh??? Ok then, now it's time to hear my thoughts =). I actually liked this episode. The concept of the story I thought was really good. I was mucho disappointed in the previous one, but this one makes up for it. The plot was really good, kind of old school with the girls not believing in electricity and what not, sort of gave it that older times kind of vibe. The acting was really good also. It wasn't over the top or anything, it was definitely believable. The one thing that bothered me though was when the one girl cried she ALWAYS had snot running down her face...seriously. Every single time she cried she had two snot trails coming from her nose. That was sort of gross. I don't know why, but that bothered me.                 

And the vampire creature thing was uber creepy!! I mean...WOW!! It had long gross toe nails, tattered clothes and the most hideous face ever...Ughh!! Gave me the willies! I never saw a vampire that damn creepy. And it made all these weird screeching, growling noises. Yipes! There was a good amount of blood, and a few death scenes. It wasn't your typical vampire story either, which I liked. There were no sparkly vegetarian vampires. It was just one creepy, blood thirsty creature wanting to mess you all up. I think overall I'd give The Sacrifice a 3.5 out of 5. It was just a really great episode. Fear Itself, you have redeemed yourself!!! DON'T FORGET TO SIGN YOUR CONTRACT TO START A BABY MILL!!! By: SASHA SLAUGHTER

It's really wet in this bitch!!! I'm talking about the rain you perverts!!! =) Hiii!! Sasha Slaughter here with you on this stormy grey day in PA (Hey that rhymed!). It's still random stuff hodgepodge mixed bag O shit month (And no Zane, you aren't changing it!) so in keeping with the theme I'll be reviewing the third episode of Fear Itself, it's titled "Community". Before I begin I'd just like to say that last week our standards were severely lowered due to Zanes "Horrors Best Chests" article. Ughh!!! Typical man...am I right?? So anyway, let's get to it!!!

Young couple Bobby and Tracy are living in a small, cramped apartment in a not so desirable part of town. Tracy is desperate to start a family and wants to get pregnant right away, but she refuses to raise a family in their current home. So they set out to find the perfect home to start a family in. Two close friends of theirs, married couple Scott and Merrill tell them about a place called The Commons. They tell Tracy and Bobby that it's a really exclusive place and when they told the realtor that they didn't plan on having anymore children they refused to give them a house. So Bobby and Tracy decided to go to The Commons and look at a house anyway.

They drive to a gate in a high class suburban neighborhood and are pleasantly surprised by how beautiful it is, although Bobby is skeptical. They are given a tour of the house by Candice, one of the more prominent members of The Commons. Tracy falls in love with the house instantly and is positive that this is where she wants to start a family. Bobby notices that all of the furniture from the previous owner is still in the home and Candice tells him the owner had to leave because of business. Bobby think it's a bit odd, but because Tracy wants the house, he ignores it. Two days later they get a call from Candice telling them that their application was accepted and they got the house. They go to sign papers and Candice tells them that are exactly the type of people they want in their community, which makes Bobby a bit uncomfortable.

They are greeted by a mob of seemingly perfect neighbors when they arrive to move in. Bobby is overwhelmed and has a strange feeling about the neighborhood but dismisses it. Months go by and strange things keep happening, but Tracy seems oblivious. Late one night while flipping through TV channels he comes across security tape of their neighbor undressing getting ready to cheat on her husband when her husband walks in and catches her. He recognizes the neighbor on the TV screen as their next door neighbors Ron and Sandra. Tracy tells him the follwing day that he was signed up for a community supprt meeting. He shows up only to see Ron and Sandra getting lectured because of Sandra's actions.

Candice tells her that her actions affect the whole community and it's up to Ron to decide her punishment for infidelity. The next day while Bobby is out shopping he sees Sanda tied to a post with a pig mask on having trash thrown at her while the townspeople call her names. She tells him that this was the punishment chosen and she accepts it. He takes the mask off of her and tells her she doesn't have to deal with this and everyone tells him to stay out of it. Later that night Candice arrives and tells Tracy and Bobby that she is concered that they haven't conceived yet. She said that if they read their contract correctly it states that if a child is not conceived within 6 months of moving in the house will be foreclosed on and they will be forced to leave The Commons (Really? Signing a contract to breed and open your very own baby mill?? Count me out).

Bobby asks his friend Scott to find the previous owner and talk to them to find out how they got out of the contract. Bobby tells him all of the strange rules and stipulations and about the security cameras in everyones house that show up on the TV. Scott calls back to tell him that there is no trace of the previous owner, and seems like he disappeared. He tells Bobby he needs to get Tracy and get out of there. He finds Tracy in the kitchen and she announces that she is pregnant and Bobby is devastated because now that she is pregnant they are being forced to stay in The Commons.

They go to the doctor the following day and see Sandra running around in the street yelling that someone is after her and then she gets hit by a car. No one seems concerned, saying that she jumped infront of the car because she was drunk and suicidal, which Bobby didn't believe. This scared Tracy so they came up with a plan to get out of The Commons. Tracy was with some friends when she pretended to faint and said she needed to go home and rest because of the baby. They snuck family friend Merrill into the house and snuck Tracy out. Merrill was disguised in a wig so she looked like Tracy on the security cameras in the bedroom. After a few days of not seeing Tracy everyone started getting suspicious. Candice showed up and saw Merrill and demanded to know where Tracy was. She tells Bobby that if he doesn't tell her where she is something unfortunate will happen to his friends and family.

They are questioning Bobby and he isn't cooperating so they drug him and he wakes up a few hours later on a couch. Phil, the neurotic neighbor from next door, comes over to make sure Bobby is ok and is staying in The Commons. Just then Phil pulls out a pair of scissors and tells Bobby that this is for him and then proceeds to stab Candice in the neck with the scissors. Bobby wakes up and runs into the woods to escape. The whole neighborhood comes outside with flashlights, shovels, and dogs to look for him. He runs up a hill and finds Scott and Tracy in a car waiting for him. Tracy gets out of the car and tells him that she is doing this for him and Scott says they are going to be neighbors now and then the townspeople come out of the woods and..                       

Ughhh! Somebody please check my pulse and make sure I'm still alive....I swear I may have died a little from complete and utter boredom!! BOO to this episode!!! I am totally disappointed. This episode sucked and the person that wrote it sucks. I was incredibly bored and could not wait for this shit to be over. That was 43 minutes of my life I'll never get back. Overall I'd give it a 1 out of 5. Yeahh! There was no blood (except for a few drops when the blonde bitch got stabbed), no gore, no nekkidness (No boobs, butt, or bush), no swearing...no nothing at all.I mean, horror stuff doesn't necessarily have to have all of those things to be good, but sweet Jesus put some blood and guts in there please!! It was a total snooze fest and I am so glad I never have to watch it again! Ok, so thats that. Since you're here wasting time, how about you waste some time and read Zanes stuff too!! He likes it when you look at his stuff. Trust me. =)

SPOOKY VON SPOOK SPOOK By: SASHA SLAUGHTER

Ohh nah nah..Heyy!! Sasha Slaughter here with you for another week of mind blowing awesomeness at Dead End Horror. Zane and I decided to make this Mixed bag O shit month!! Yay!! It will basically be random shit all month with no actual theme...you will like it!! I'll be reviewing the second episode of Fear Itself and it's called Spooked. It runs 43 minutes and stars Eric Roberts as Harry Bender. And of course, if you've been paying attention you'd know the series was created by Mick Garris. And if you didn't know, well hey, now you do!

When Harry, a former cop turned private eye, is hired to spy on a womans husband, things go terribly wrong when he is staking out at a vacant haunted house across the street. Little does he know that while in that house, Harry is about to confront the demons of his past. It begins with Harry questioning a suspect, Rory, about the disappearance of a Senator's son. The suspect wont cooperate so Harry punches him in the face and cuts him several times with a knife. Finally Rory tells him that the boy is upstairs. Harry finds the boy and returns him to safety. He sees Rory being wheeled into an ambulance on a stretcher and he tells Harry that he'll never for get what he did and that he'd never let him. Harry watched as Rory bled to death on the stretcher from a knife wound on his throat, inflicted by Harry himself.

He talks to one of the people from the department and is told that because of the brutal way he treats suspects and the horrible things he does them, he is being sentenced to one hundred hours of community service and is being forced to turn in his badge. Fifteen years later Harry is in a private eye business with his partner James. A woman named Meredith King comes to Harry and asks him to help her get evidence that her husband is having an affiar. Harry agrees but the woman tells him he can't park his surveillance van infront of the house. She asks him to go into the vacant house across the street to do the spying. James and Harry go into the house and set up the equipment and James goes back to the van. Harry starts hearing voices and seeing lights in the womans house. James tells him he doesn't see or hear anything.

He finds a few kids in the vacant house and they tell him that they are there because the house kills people and it was a dare. Harry starts seeing things and hearing voices. He hears a woman talking about someone burning her with a cigar to get her to talk. Harry realizes that that was something he had done to get a suspect to talk and turns to run away and steps in a puddle of blood with bullets and teeth in it. He meets Meredith the following day to tell her that he can't help her anymore. He admits to her that he's done very bad things in the past and that while he is in that house his demons from the past are haunting him. She convinces him to go back and help her. He sees children in Meredith's house and looks upstairs and sees Rory holding a knife as he starts descending the stairs. Harry breaks into the house to discover that it's empty and sees for sale flyers on the table.

He goes back into the vacant house and hears voices of people describing the things he did to them to get them to talk. Rory appears and asks Harry why he is such a bad person. Harry breaks down and has a flashback of the thing that made him a monster. His flashback is of himself accidently shooting and killing his brother and making a pact with his father never to tell anyone what happened. Rory gives Harry a knife and tells him to kill himself and make things right. As Harry has the knife to his throat he realizes that....

OH NO!! WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT?? If you have a hard on to find out, well how about you go and give Spooked a look see huh??? Now, onto what I thought. It was ok. I was confused like once or twice, ehh it happens. There was no nudity, no cussing, and the only thing close to sex was the recorded tapes of two people boinking to prove to a woman that her husband was cheating. The plot was good and the acting was good too, although I would have liked to see more blood, but we can't always get what we want can we?? Overall I'd give Spooked a 2.5 out of 5. Like I said, I got confused a time or two, (It happens sometimes...or alot of times :D) and I wasn't as impressed with this episode as I was with the first. But they can't all be winners right??? So since you're here don't forget to check out Zanes stuff, if you're lucky he just may send you pics of it!! YAY!!

THE EATER By: SASHA SLAUGHTER

He wants to eat you...

What it do, what it does?? Sasha here with you && this week we'll be doing something a little different. Ever hear of the TV series Fear Itself?? No?? Me either until Zane turned me onto it (haha..turned me on...rawr!!). Anyway, Fear Itself was a TV series in 2008 and was created by Mick Garris. It's an anthology series of horror and Sci-fi fantasy shows. The shows run about 42-43 minutes and it aired on NBC in the summer of 2008. The series ended on July 31st after it's 8th episode, leaving 5 episodes written and produced, but never aired. And heres a factoid for you, the theme song of the show is "Lie, Lie, Lie" by Serj Tankian of System of a Down...awesome! So kick back while I review the first episode of Fear Itself, it's called "Eater".

When rookie policewoman Danny Bannerman gets assigned to guard the serial killer referred to as "the Eater" the night gets precarious when two of her fellow officers begin to act very strangely...Dwayne "The Eater" Meller is brought into the police station in shackles and handcuffs and put into a holding cell. He pulls something out of his sleeve and begins chanting and weird things start happening and the only person that realizes it is Bannerman. The Sergeant briefs the officers on Meller and tells that them that in span of 2 years he's killed 30 people in 5 different states. He then tells them that he kills the male victims quickly but keeps the females to torture them and eventually cook and eat their body parts. He also tells them that he made clothing out of their skin and used their skin to make lamp shades.

Danny Bennerman, who is intrigued by morbid things, asks the Sergeant if she can look at Mellers' file. She reads the file and as she does, the lights flicker and she hears loud noises coming from the holding cell. She goes upstairs to check on him and finds him sleeping. She calls for Mattingly, the officer in charge of sitting in the holding room, and he is nowhere to be found. She goes to check on Meller because she thinks he isn't breathing and realizes that the cell is unlocked. Mattingly appears out of nowhere and tells her it's not a good idea to go into the cell. She notices that he is acting strangely, as was Marty, the other officer on duty. She accuses them of messing her because she is the only woman on the force. Mattingly pins her against the cell and tries to bite her but she runs away.

She goes to the main enterance to find that the doors are chained shut so no one can get in or out. She goes into one of the offices and finds Mattingly's body under his desk with his heart ripped out. She tries the phones and hears chanting on the other end. She meets the Sergeant in the locker room and tells him that she thinks that Meller escaped and killed Marty and Mattingly by eating their hearts and assuming their identities. She tells him that Mattingly told her of an old Cajun legend that says if you eat the still beating heat of another person that you can assume their body and their identity. The Sergeant is skeptical but goes with Bannerman to look for Meller.

They go into the holding room and find Marty hanging from the ceiling with his heart ripped out. They see another body behind the couch and Bannerman takes the bag of the head only to discover that it's the Sergeants body with a bullet hole in the forehead. Meller assumes the Sergeant's identity and tells Bannerman that he wants to eat her. She runs away and tries to get out of the locked doors when Meller assumes his own identity and eats her ear. She gets away and hides in a closet where she covers her neck in rat poison so when Meller tries to eat her...

AHHH!! If you're curious about the ending, how about you go ahead and give Fear Itself: Eaters a watch?? Now onto what I thought! WOW!! This is the first time I've ever heard of or watched this series and I gotta say, I'm impressed. The whole Cajun voodoo-switching bodies-cannibalism thing was just awesome! And not to mention that the character Meller was CREEPY! He was freaking tall and scary looking with the absolute most messed up teeth ever (Someone call that man a dentist!!). There was no nudity and no cussing, but thats no big deal really. There was a good bit of blood and a little bit of guts, and the plot was good enough to where there really didn't need to be alot of boobs and swearing to make it good. Overall I'd give this little gem a 4 out of 5...WOW!! I really liked this episode. The acting was good, the plot was good...it was just damn good!! I cannot wait to watch the rest of the series! And while you're here, check out Zombie Zanes stuff, you'll be glad you did!!
